2016
The year we cut our first pattern, by hand, in a room above a tailor's shop.
Our story
Made by people who still hem their own clothes
We started as three people and one sewing machine, altering saris for neighbours who couldn't find a fit they liked off the rack. That's still the question we ask before anything else: does this actually fit the person wearing it?
Every piece we make now goes through the same hands that built this company — checked for drape, for how it moves, for whether it still looks right after the tenth wash. We'd rather ship fewer things and stand behind every one of them.
We don't design for a mannequin. We design for the walk to work, the wedding, the Tuesday that needed something better.
